Chapter 36 - The Only One He Ever Feared

Harry is beside himself. He wants to go to Sirius and he doesn′t want to believe Lupin, that Sirius is dead. Bellatrix has fought with Kingsley and now flees without being hit by a curse. Before anybody could hold him, Harry runs after her. Harry tells her, that the prophecy is broken and that he feels that Voldemort also knows it. Bellatrix doesn′t want to believe him, until suddenly Voldemort appears. He wants to kill Harry but suddenly the statues of the fountain come to life and jump in front of the boy so the curse bounces off. Voldemort looks around and then he sees Dumbledore. The other statues also come alive and the witch restrains Bellatrix as the fight between Voldemort and Dumbledore begins. Suddenly Voldemort disappears until Harry feels a horrible pain and he feels that Voldemort has taken possession of him. Voldemort calls Dumbledore to kill him, which would mean Harry as well. Then everything is over and Harry hears voices and sees Dumbledore next to him. Everyone says that Voldemort was there and that even Fudge has seen him. Dumbledore slowly stands up and explains that there are even more Death Eaters in the Department of Mysteries. Fudge stares at Dumbledore with horror until Dumbledore announces with a thunderous voice that Fudge has seen himself that Voldemort is alive and that he was right. Then Dumbledore sends Harry away with a portkey.
