Tell me of the story -

Tell me of the story Just come over and sit near me, come and take just one more drink. Let us lift the cups for one more time, Let us calm down while we think.

The moon showed half however he was hidden behind the black clouds. A seventeen year old boy entered the nearly empty inn while keeping his face down. Only two other guests were present. One, a man with mouse grey hair, a patched cloak and a pale face, beckoned the boy over. He seated himself slowly, took the jug of butterbeer with a thankful nod and kept looking at the table. He really had made it to visit the old village Little Hangleton today, to watch this village where his parents would stay forever. He had found the ruins of their old house, he had seen over the savaged garden and had thought a lot about his parents. The innkeeper behind the bar was cleaning the same jug for the tenth time and it still looked the same as before. A lady tossed back her whiskey and left the Inn reeling. Also Harry wanted to leave the Inn as fast as possible. He drank the last gulp of his butterbeer quickly asked Remus to come along with him for a part of the way.

It´s getting cool out by and by now, You closed your coat and watch the moon The town is dreaming of the summer in this calm, early night of June.

Harry had leased a small flat but he didn´t want to return now, he didn´t want to think of the upcoming challenges again or making plans. Today, here and now, he just wished to think about his parents. And who could be more possible for that than Remus, who had been able to live with them for so long, who had been able to visit the school for wizardry and witchcraft with them for long. He went up to the door, which was flanked by heads of boars, scuffled towards just this school. Remus followed him, he knew the feeling to miss the school and to come back. During the holidays he had come here often, he had been walking around on the area or just looking for Hagrid.

Oh, tell me of the story about a woman and a man and the day they met each other. Oh, tell me of the story, just tell me how it all began.

The two had reached the lake, sat on the cool stones near the waterside. Remus took some small stones and made them slide over the water. "Remus, do you know how my parents found each other? I´ve only seen that they didn´t really like each other in their fifth year. And then Sirius had told me that some day they started going out together. But how did James make it? In the pensieve I had the impression that Lily really hated him." How long he had been waiting for a moment like that. He often had been up to ask, but all these horrible incidences, Sirius´ death, the truth about Severus Snape and the loss of Dumbledore of course, had eclipsed this curiosity more and more.

Tell me how when they met each other A shower came down from the sky And how the two just didn´t notice and went on without knowing why.

"I don´t know exactly how he enticed Lily out of the castle. He planned outside to take her by surprise, it was her birthday. Later he told me that Lily started crying, you should know that was on the verge of her mother´s death. He holds her in his arms and solaced her..." The silky red hair lay shining on his shoulder, she was shivering. Actually he had imagined a happy Lily who was smiling at him, who was excited about his surprise. He stroked her head very carefully, the moonlight lit up the lake and the low lying clouds didn´t cover it anymore. "I am so sorry", she sobbed, "sure you´re thinking `isn´t she able to just stop crying for now´." She looked up in his deep brown eyes and a single tear rolled down in her scarf. A second one was creeping slowly over her cheek. He lifted his hand wiped it away. "No, I can understand you, everyone would be sad." A cold wind blew and it started raining silently but the two didn´t want to return into the warm castle, not to the other students that were waiting happily for the summer holidays. Lily took his hand and walked around the lake, every now and then she stopped und looked at him long and thrilling. They both were silent, everyone lost in his own thoughts but the gathering strengthened Lily. There were no tears in her eyes anymore. And her steps became bigger and braver.

They kept on talking soaked to their skin And couldn´t even find an end. When sudden their lips found each other in a kiss so sweet and bland.

After a while they started talking, James told her of his first day and exceptionally the first meeting with her. She smiled how she could have despised him, because now he was so cute. Then she started talking about her family and soon the tears flow over her face again. She was attached to her mother. James started to stroke her slight, tender neck, her red hair hung wetly dripping on her cloak. How beautiful her eyes were, so gleaming, even when she cried they were shining. Her voice ebbed, her view rested on him. Slowly he bowed to her and their wet lips met each other. A prickle run through his cold body, his emotion exploded like fireworks. Nothing could separate them now. She closed her eyes and dropped onto his wet shoulders again. Carefully he lay his head against hers.

Oh, tell me of the story about a man and woman here Who´ve been so contended for all this years Oh, tell me of the story, tell it true and tell it dear

Remus viewed Harry for a long time. Both kept silent, wallowed in their thoughts, reminisced. Once again Remus saw in Harry his former friend James. Once again he recognized that he was the son of these two great wizards. How he sat there, with the baggage of the past years on his shoulders. With sorrow for so many people in his heart and with so few memories of lucky days, of happy people, of joyful times...

And of the many thousand moments In which they altogether deem, that they could never come much closer. Tell me how everything has been.

Exams, low rustling of many parchments on the tables. `I´ve got to concentrate on that sheet in front of me and not on the person in front of me", James tried to tell himself in silence. But how could he care about the many numbers on the parchment, how could he care about the grades which he would get for that scrap of paper splotched with ink later, while Lily sat in front of him? He watched the red, gleaming hair that swayed in the sun. Only one week they could spend together, then they would turn in different directions on platform 9 ¾ again. Lily to her relatives, to her father and sister. He on the other hand to his parents with Sirius and maybe somewhere else soon. "Ten minutes left", he heard the squeaking voice of Professor Flitwick calling through the great hall. Only ten minutes...

Oh, tell me of the story About these two and all the time When they truly seemed to walk on air Oh, tell me of tell story And about every little thing.

The bells were ringing, bright and cheerful, as it was rarely in days like these. Lily dressed up in nice white and with small blooms of forget-me-not in her hair was beaming over the whole face. At her side was James, in a suit that didn´t wasn´t in line with him, the grin in his face was nearly burned in. Remus and Sirius stood at the side, happy they were able to live to see this happen. How James stood there, the luck making his body nearly explode, holding Lily´s hand and a glistening ring at the finger. This second full of luck, full of joy, would become one of the few which Harry would get to see later. The two didn´t know anything of it at all; they didn´t get a lot of all this sorrow until now. A kiss, the applause of the viewers, a white carriage pulled by two Hippogriffs, the last photo...

It´s getting cool out by and by now, I´d like to share this while with you The town is dreaming of the summer And do you know we´ve been these two?

A small tear left his green eyes and rolled down his cheek. How he missed his parents. How he missed Sirius. A cool breeze stroke over his face, it started dripping. Remus had closed his cloak and stared on the black surface of the lake. "They are still here with us, deep in our hearts they will live on forever."
